At the recent conference ATMOsphere 2013 Carrier presented its position in relation to the review on fluorinated gases currently in progress.

Sebastien Lemoine - Carrier Transicold - said: "Our position considers various sectors individually. For commercial, we believe in a possible ban of HFCs from 2020. We also propose that regulation consider refrigerated transport by road and by sea as well, which, until now, had not been considered. For these two segments, we believe that an elimination of HFCs is possible, as well as a transition to natural cooling from 2025. More difficult for the commercial and residential HVAC industry, where we hope to pass to the lowest possible GWP refrigerants starting from 2020.”
